The strawberry is one of the best-known plants worldwide that is cultivated for its very characteristic delicious fruits, which are eaten fresh or processed. In Greece, strawberry cultivation is widespread, with the largest production taking place in the Peloponnese and specifically in the prefectures of Achaia, Messinia and Laconia. A large percentage of the production also belongs to Macedonia, to the prefectures of Pieria, Imathia and Florina. We also produce strawberries in Western and Central Greece.
